President of Turkey stops man from jumping off bridge

A Turkish man received a second chance at life for Christmas when his suicide attempt was stopped by none other than the president of Turkey himself.

The office of the Turkish president says the president talked a man out of jumping off a bridge Friday.

Footage shows President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's motorcade stopping on Istanbul's Bosporus Bridge where a man was apparently contemplating jumping off.

The president's aides are heard telling the man Erdogan wants to speak with him - eventually getting him off the bridge and to the car.

According to Erdogan's office - the man was depressed because of family issues, which the president promised to help with.
