LUFKIN, Tx. (STORYFUL/WTXF) - One woman’s adorable twist on a gender reveal will melt your heart.
Joy Stone, 25, and her 7-week-old golden retriever mix pup, Rey, were photographed by Carlye Allen after Rey was rescued near a railroad track in Texas.
The photos, which have since gone viral, show Rey sitting in a box with “It’s a…” written on the side in black letters. Stone is pictured opening the box, prompting balloons to pop out. Then the (very cute) puppy reveals herself to the world.
Allen said she's partnered with a local animal shelter and will be hosting similar "Doggie and Me" mini photography sessions in June.
"The sessions will be donation-based, and all proceeds will benefit the animals within the shelter," Allen said.
Allen said she hopes the photo shoot encourages future pet owners to adopt, not shop.
“There are SO many animals in need this time of year,” Allen said. “If we work together, we can make a difference in these animals’ lives.”
