Flash flood watch in effect in Philadelphia

- A flash flood watch was placed into effect for several counties including Philadelphia, Allentown, Reading, Trenton and Wilmington through 9 p.m.

A severe thunderstorm warning was also issued for Kent, Delaware, and Cape May and Cumberland, NJ at 4:29p.,. through 5:29 p.m.

The dangerous heat continued during the day on Saturday, and Sunday is expected to bring some relief following Saturday night's showers and storms.

Local fisherman Mike Rothman was able to snap a video of a waterspout he saw while on his boat's dock in Fortescue, N.J. around 4 p.m.

Sunday will stay in the high 80s for most of the area.

Humidity will remain a major factor in keeping the oppressive heat around.

While Sunday may mark the end of your weekend, it may also mark the end of the season's longest heat wave as temperatures are expected to hold off in the high 80s.
