Tuesday marks start of potential heat wave

It is starting to feel more and more like July in the Philadelphia area as we face the potential for another heat wave this week!

Tuesday is going to be hot and humid around the area with a high of 93 degrees. The rest of the week is looking like more of the same with a high of 92 on Wednesday, with the humidity hanging around.

Thursday looks to be the most oppressive and hot day of the heat wave, as it will likely mark the third day of highs in the 90s, making the heat wave official. The heat index for Thursday will be up in the triple digits at 104 degrees.

Along with the heat, Thursday will also bring our next chance for some rain, with a possibility of pop-up showers and thunderstorms.

The heat wave isn't expected to last any longer than three days for now, with Friday bringing things back down into the 80s, with more rain possible.

So, as we get ready for the heat, make sure you, your family and your pets stay cool and hydrated!
