PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - The first flakes of the season are heading this way. The FOX 29 Weather Authority is tracking a system moving in Thursday where we may see sleet and snow in some areas. Some parts could see anywhere between 1-3 inches.
Thursday's system comes with an area of high pressure off to the north, which may funnel down some cold air that could get trapped at the surface. FOX 29's Kathy Orr and Scott Williams say it all depends on temperature, location, elevation and timing.
Areas north and west of Philadelphia have the best chances of seeing a possible wintry mix. Winds will gust 25-40 mph. By the evening rush, the snow and sleet will change over to rain for most of us.
