Winter weather causes school closings and delays Wednesday

PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for parts of the area for Wednesday morning. Parts of our area saw a mix of rain and freezing rain early, changing to heavy rain in the afternoon.

The Philadelphia area and South Jersey will see less than an inch, 1-2 inches for the north and west suburbs, 2-4 for the Lehigh Valley and 4-6 plus for the Poconos.

The weather should clear up, however, in time for the Eagles Super Bowl parade on Thursday. Temperatures will be cooler, with highs in the low 30s, but sunshine will be abundant.
