Robbery and stabbing on N. Broad caught on tape

A violent robbery at a Chinese restaurant on North Broad Street was nearly entirely caught on security cameras, and police are looking for the perpetrators.

According to Philadelphia Police, the incident took place Saturday at 11:40 a.m. at the Lucky Garden Chinese food establishment at 4901 North Broad Street. A 29-year-old male was attempting to leave the restaurant when three unknown males forced him back inside. One of the men began punching and stabbing the complainant and went on to steal his watch and belt.

The perpetrators, police said, fled the scene in a gray Pontiac Grand Prix with a PA tag# JZN-9752. The victim was taken to Einstein Medical Center where he was treated for stab wounds and is in critical condition.

The suspects are all described as black males in their early to mid 20s. One was wearing a gray Polo Sweat suit and was armed with a knife. A second man had a small afro hair style and was wearing a blue zip-up flight style jacket. The third man had a light beard and was sporting a ski cap.
