Temple Univ. Tables Vote on Stadium Plans Amid Opposition

Temple University's board of trustees has tabled a vote on plans to build a stadium on campus, due to some opposition.

"Up with the workers! Down with the stadium! Up with community! Down with the stadium!" protesters chanted from outside Tuesday night's meeting.

A couple dozen protestors gathered outside the meeting last night, most were Temple students.

They're against the proposed $100-million project.

They say the school is not consulting nearby residents.

University officials say there are still important discussions to be had before moving forward with the plan.
