Man shot while driving, bullet entered through door

A man driving a car in North Philadelphia overnight was shot when someone fired five bullets.

Police say the victim was heading eastbound on Diamond Street at 10th at about 3:20am when one of those bullets hit the rear driver side door. It struck the victim in his left buttock and exited through his left thigh.

He was able to drive to the intersection of 11th and Susquehanna where he found police investigating an unrelated car crash.

He was taken to the hospital and listed in stable condition.

The gunman is only described as having worn a gray hoody.
