Paula Abdul headlines South Jersey cancer charity event

(WTXF) - American pop icon Paula Abdul is in town this weekend to co-host the 5th Annual Night of Wigs & Wishes event in New Jersey.

The choreographer, singer, songwriter and all around superstar stopped by Good Day Philadelphia on Sunday ahead of the event with the charity's founder, celebrity stylist Martino Cartier.

The fundraiser, held at Lucien's Manor in Berlin, New Jersey, aims to raise money for the non-profit, which is dedicated to providing wigs to women and granting wishes to children suffering from cancer.

Abdul will be joined Sunday evening by America's Got Talent singer Sal "The Voice" Valentinetti and pop artist Nicolosi, among others.
