Ca Firefighters care for chickens

Firefighters in California have worked exhaustively to save as much life and keep as many structures safe as possible. According to the San Francisco Fire Department Twitter page, two firefighters went above and beyond to help chickens that survived the Santa Rosa, Ca. area wildfires.

In their tweet, San Francisco firefighters E. Thomas and J. Bautista are shown feeding the hungry flock.

The chickens were in need of food and water, the department said. According to the firefighters, the chickens are safe. A spokesperson for the department said local animal control officers were notified about the chickens.

Fifty-four San Francisco Fire Department members are a part of a team fighting the wildfires in Northern California.
