Celebrating George Washington's birthday with free cake

- The Museum of the American Revolution celebrates the 286th birthday of George Washington.

George Washington, the first President of the United States and Commander-in-Chief of the Continental Army was born 286 years ago in Virginia.

The museum gave out free birthday cake in honor of Washington.

Visitors were also encouraged to sign a giant birthday card.

The weekend also marks the final chance for visitors to see the museum’s painting of Washington’s war tent during the Revolutionary War.

The museum is also showcasing a diamond pendant eagle that George Washington wore. That will be on display until March 4th.
