Georgia Judge Issues Strong Rebuke to Woman Who Made Anti-Cop Message

CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. - A Clayton County judge issues a sharp rebuke to a woman who made an anti-cop comment online.

Latausha Nedd remains behind bars following a hearing on charges brought by the district attorney.

Nedd is seen in a video calling for an open season of police. But her attorney argued the message was not intended to target all officers. Instead, said Gerald Griggs, his client was a victim of rough treatment from a single officer who came to her door.

Those hostile words in the video were aimed at a specific officer and the lawyer argued is protected speech.

The Clayton County judge saw it differently -- telling the woman those words can incite and divide at a time when the entire nation is having trouble with police community relations.

Two charges -- terroristic threats and criminal solicitation -- will go forward.
