Customs agents intercept over $44,000 in counterfeit Bryce Harper jerseys

United States Customs and Border Patrol officers intercepted over 300 counterfeit Bryce Harper jerseys, the agency announced Friday.

According to officials, the phony threads came in six express delivery shipments addressed from Hong Kong. The packages were destined for Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.

The largest of the packages contained over 200 jerseys and the remaining parcels held between 18 and 25.

Officials warn that counterfeit sports jerseys are made with substandard fabrics--some of which may be dangerously flammable.

Ironically, the jerseys estimated value of $44,000 is roughly what Bryce Harper makes per at-bat.
