E-cigarette that looks like USB drive raises concerns for parents

- Parents are already worried about their kids using e-cigarettes and a new device is raising for concerns. The e-cigarette looks like a USB drive.

"We can't even keep it in stock." This store employee asked us not to identify him, but he says the latest craze in e-cigarettes is the JUUL.

Parents FOX 29 spoke with worry the device looks too much like a simple USB drive. It even charges using a USB adapter that fits into your computer or cell phone charger.

"It's real scary. You would think so because no parent would know what it is unless you catch them in the act."

JUUL's manufacturer says on its website their nicotine device is only for adult smokers. The American Lung Association says there's evidence e-cigarrettes are bad for your health although the FDA says more testing needs to be done.

FOX News reports a 900% increase among high school students vaping between 2011 and 2016.

Full statement from JUUL Labs:

"JUUL Labs' mission is to eliminate cigarette smoking by offering existing adult smokers in the United States with a better alternative to combustible cigarettes. JUUL is not intended for, or targeted to, underage consumers. We believe our product, as well as other nicotine products, should never be used by anyone under the legal age. To that end, in our focus to switch adult smokers off of cigarettes, JUUL Labs is committed to preventing underage usage of its products, such as requiring all purchasers on our website to be at least 21, despite the legality of smoking at a younger age in most states."
