Funeral for Philomena Stendardo, 7, held on Saturday

CENTER CITY, PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - Family and friends are saying goodbye to a local girl who put up quite the fight against brain cancer on Saturday.

Seven-year-old Philomena Stendardo will best laid to rest before loved ones in the morning at a funeral service in Center City.

The ceremony will be held at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul.

Last year, Stendardo met with the Pope through the Make A Wish Foundation.

She had been diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor, and passed away Monday.
