Good Samaritans lift car off mother and children struck in hit-and-run

- Philadelphia police are investigating a hit-and-run after a 36-year-old mother and her children were struck by a white Toyota while walking on the sidewalk on the 3200 block of Tyson Avenue in Mayfair.

It happened around 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Police say the mother and a 3-year-old girl were injured—the other child was not injured. Both victims have been transported to Jefferson-Torresdale Hospital where the mother is listed in stable condition and 3-year-old is in critical condition.

Police say the driver fled the scene on foot.
