Hit and run driver strikes man, 22; Search on for Camry

NEW CASTLE, Del. (WTXF) - A 22-year-old man is recovering from injuries after he was hit by a car while trying to cross the street, and the driver just kept going.

New Castle County police say it happened at about 6:45pm Saturday in the 100 block of Riverview Drive.

They're searching for a silver Toyota Camry with a temporary Delaware registration. It was last seen getting away on Riverview Drive toward Cherry Lane. No description of the driver has been released.

According to authorities, "Tips submitted through Delaware Crime Stoppers may be eligible for a reward up to $10,000. Rewards are offered for crimes of violence such as this through Delaware Crime Stoppers."
