Hundreds of border collies gather in Australia in bid to break world record

On September 24, some ambitious folks hoping to break an unofficial world record for the highest number of border collies in one place gathered on Willaston Oval in South Australia.

According to the Border Collie Owners of South Australia group, which organized the event, the final count came in at 576 dogs.

Since Guinness World Records does not accept breed-specific records, this valiant effort remains off the books.
