Interchange connecting I-95 and the Pa. Turnpike set to open

The long-awaited interchange connecting I-95 and the Pa.Turnpike in Bucks County is set to open.

FOX 29's Joyce Evans reports.

It's been a frustrating commute between Philadelphia and New York that really hasn't made good sense. The new route will link I-95 straight through just north of Bristol.

It has taken decades and nearly a half billion dollars to make the connection.

Project Senior Engineer Mike Phillips ran off a head-spinning list of changes to highway names, road markings and exit numbers.

Kathy Mulcahy says it'll chop as much as a half hour off her commute. Other commuters are looking forward to the opening. Employees at a nearby Wawa think business will be booming.
