Levittown boy's Carson Wentz wish for Christmas

Most kids ask Santa for things like a skateboard, Barbie dolls, an iPad or their two front teeth, but not 8-year-old Zach. He's asking for football skills like Carson Wentz.

Santa Claus has a tall order to fill this year for 8-year-old Zach Tavares. In a decorated letter to Santa, Zach says he's giving up two toys on his Christmas list to be like the person Eagles fans hope will lead the team to the Super Bowl this year.

"I want football skills like Carson Wentz on the Eagles team," he read from his letter, which he wrote as part of a school project. His parents say they were surprised, but were they really?

"We're a huge Eagles family. Every single day Carson Wentz is brought up pretty much," said Zach's mother Danielle Phillips. Judging by the head-to-toe Eagles gear Zach's mom, dad, older brother Samuel and younger brother Chase were wearing during their interview, Zach's Wentz-wish didn't seem to come out of left field.

"We're very excited about him being a quarterback for the Eagles and Zach loves to cheer with us when we watch," said Danielle. Zach even lights up when he talks about Carson Wentz.

"He's like the best at football and he mostly scores points for the team and he is really cool. Like when he makes plays one time he had someone on his legs and he just kept running," said Zach.

"It's easy to enjoy him on the field but also watching his interviews and how he carries himself like his values I think he's a good role model for all kids in Philly really," his stepfather Adam said.

Danielle posted Zach's letter on her Facebook page. Zach's response, if it reaches not just Santa, but Carson Wentz too?

"Surprised, happy and nervous," he said. The beginning of the letter is pretty awesome but it's the end that really shows how adorable this kid is.

"I also wish that the world had kindness so people would not get into arguments and we can watch the news and see good things. I hope you can get that to me this Christmas. Love Zachary Tavares," he read.
