Gov. Christie Apologizes to N. Wildwood Mayor

WTXF - After a two-day war of words between Gov. Chris Christie and the mayor of North Wildwood, N.J., the governor apologized to the mayor Tuesday.

Gov. Christie left the campaign trail to return to New Jersey on Friday, but went back to Iowa Sunday, with parts of the Jersey Shore still flooded.

"What do you want me to do, go down there with a mop," the governor said Sunday.

North Wildwood Mayor Patrick Rosenello, a longtime ally and supporter of Christie, reacted Tuesday morning in an interview with FOX 29's Steve Keeley.

"It's just disappointing that a man who's the governor of the state of New Jersey, a man who wants to be the president of the United States, would lower the discourse, in a situation like this."
