Philadelphia officer hospitalized after head-on crash in Overbrook Park

OVERBROOK PARK (FOX 29) - A Philadelphia police officer is in the hospital after a two-car crash in Overbrook Park.

The officer was driving in a police SUV when they were involved in a head-on crash around 11:30 p.m. at the intersection of Haverford and Woodbine Avenues.

The officer was rushed to Lankenau Medical Center with severe leg pain. The 24-year-old woman who was driving the Camry was not seriously hurt.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
