Barricade situation in Logan placed under control

Philadelphia Police are on the scene of a shooting in Logan.

The incident took place in a home near Old York Road and West Chew Avenue at just before noon. The shooting took place on the 5800 block of Old York Road.

Police say a 29-year-old black male was shot five times -- twice in the neck, once in the chest, once in the stomach, and once in the buttock. He was taken to Einstein by police and is in critical condition and uncooperative.

Witnesses believe they say a black male suspect, black hoodie, black book bag, tan shopping bag and tan hat run into a residence on the 1400 block of Conlyn Street.

The situation was declared a barricade at 12:27 p.m.

Three males were taken into custody from inside of the residence at 12:56 p.m. One male was positively identified as the shooter.

A weapon has not been recovered.
