Police: Man charged with stabbing death of girlfriend in Wilmington

Police are investigating following the stabbing death of a woman in Wilmington, Delaware.

Around 3 p.m. on Saturday, Wilmington police responded to the 1600 block of West 4th Street, where they found a woman who sustained multiple stab wounds. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim was later identified as 58-year-old Annette Henry of Wilmington.

Police say they discovered a blood trail that lead them to a vacant home on the 200 block of North Dupont Street. It was there that police located the suspect, who they say was attempting to escape.

The suspect has been identified as 52-year-old Kevin J. Dyton, who police say was Henry's boyfriend.

Dyton was charged with first degree murder and possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony. He was transferred to Howard Young Correctional Facility after failing to post $250,000 bond.
