Police: Man shot, killed in Southwest Philly; suspect sought

Police are investigating after they say a man was gunned down in Southwest Philadelphia.

Around midnight on Saturday, officials responded to the 6600 block of Guyer Avenue, where they discovered the 22-year-old victim face down in the street suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the head and torso.

The victim, later identified as Zaki Thomas of West Philadelphia, was transported to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Police are still searching for the shooter. Anyone with information about the alleged crime is urged to contact police.
