Two rescued after car becomes submerged in Cooper River

A car went into the Cooper River overnight resulting in two people being extricated and rescued by emergency crews.

The incident occurred at 3:46 a.m. Saturday at South Park Drive and North Vineyard Boulevard in Collingswood, New Jersey.

Two people were entrapped in the vehicle which was submerged halfway.

A marine rescue task force was dispatched to rescue the occupants of the vehicle. They sustained non-life threatening injuries.
