VIDEO: Man shot during botched robbery attempt at barbershop

Philadelphia Police have released surveillance video of an attempted robbery that led to a shooting outside of a North Philadelphia barbershop, leaving a man in critical condition.

The shooting occurred at 9 p.m. last Thursday on the 2900 block of Cambria Street.

Police say the 28-year-old victim was waiting with other customers inside the barbershop, including two young children and a baby, when two armed men wearing masks burst in and announced a robbery.

Investigators say one shot was fired in the waiting area but no one was hit, and the victim then struggled with one of the gunmen before he was shot twice outside the shop.

The victim was taken to Temple University Hospital in extremely critical condition and suffered gunshot wounds to the leg and chest.

Surveillance video from the incident shows the suspects being dropped off and picked up on the 2200 block of West Cambria Street by a four-door sedan that appears police say was light blue in color.

The suspects have been described by police as two black males, approximately 20-years-old, and both remain at large.
