Weather Authority: Cold returns Friday, snow rain possible Sunday

Friday will be getting Super Bowl weekend off to a chilly start as temperatures head back into the 30s.

Strong winds will have temps continuing to fall throughout the day with gusts reaching 25 to 30 mph.

Friday morning started off with a few flurries around the area, but those moved out of the area relatively early.

Saturday will bring some more sun with a high of just 34. Super Bowl Sunday will be a bit warmer with a high of 42, but we're tracking the potential of some mixed precipitation during the day, with early snow likely turning to rain as things warm up.

According to Punxsutawney Phil, the cold will be sticking around for 6 more weeks, after Pennsylvania's most famous groundhog saw his shadow this morning.
