WATCH: Local Nonprofit Creates Bruno Mars Promposal

NEW JERSEY (WTXF) A New Jersey special needs nonprofit organization created an entertaining video in hopes of getting singer Bruno Mars to perform at their prom.

Students from Fantastic Friends created the promposal to Bruno Mar's hit song "Uptown Funk." According to Fantastic Friends, every year in June they hold a themed prom. The goal of the prom is to facilitate new friendships and create inclusion, celebration and love between people with special needs and volunteers. In the past they had a beach prom, Disney prom, and Candyland prom. This year they are hoping that Bruno Mars accepts their prom invitation so that can be their theme.

Marissa Hacker, a 19-year-old sophomore at Stockton University and founder of Fantastic Friends, served as the director of the music video. Melissa founded the organization at just 15 years old for her twin brother who has autism.

The date for the prom is set for Friday, June 17th and will be held in Voorhees, NJ.
