Man, 27, critical after shooting in Wissinoming

A man is in critical condition following a shooting in Philadelphia's Wissinoming neighborhood.

The shooting occurred shortly after 2 a.m. on the 2100 block of Anchor Street.

Police say a 27-year-old man was shot twice in the groin from point-blank range, and was unresponsive when officers arrived on scene.

The victim was taken to the hospital where he was listed in stable condition.

Police are hoping nearby surveillance cameras will help lead them to a suspect.
