Man charged with more than 100 felony counts related to internet child pornography

Norristown, Pa. (WTXF) A Huntingdon Valley man has been charged with more than 100 felony counts related to Internet child pornography.

Authorities say they arrested Robert J. Giuffrida, 38, of Huntingdon Valley, for more than 100 felony counts involving Internet child pornography.

According to authorities, during an online Internet investigation between May and December 2015 to identify those possessing and sharing child pornography they made a direct connection to a host computer and was able to download six movie files of child pornography. The IP address used to download the files was allegedly subscribed to by Giuffrida, authorities say.

Authorities served a search warrant on Giuffrida's home. According to investigators, numerous videos and images of child pornography were recovered from Giuffrida's computer and iPhone.

Giuffrida was charged with six felony counts of Sexual Abuse of Children (Dissemination of Photo/Film Sex Act/Child), 100 felony counts of Sexual Abuse of Children (Possession of Child Pornography) and six felony counts of Criminal use of a Communication Facility.

Bail has been set at $100,000 cash.
