Man stages being pulled over by police for elaborate marriage proposal

Mobile, Alabama (STORYFUL/WTXF) - An Alabama man went all out when he proposed to his girlfriend of five years last Friday.

Daiwon McPherson from Mobile, Alabama, got down on one knee for Shawna Blackmon-- but not before he gave her a good scare.

McPherson enlisted the help of his local police department to create an elaborate proposal stunt, which involved him being pulled over while on his way to see Blackmon. He called up his other half, and she arrived at the scene to see police approaching her beloved with tasers.

Naturally she was horrified, but her horror soon turned into a more pleasant form of shock when McPherson suddenly got down on one knee and whipped out a ring.

She accepted his proposal, much to the delight of the crowd around them.

The footage quickly went viral, with a friend's footage of the stunt having earned 122,000 likes on Facebook.
