Michael Rubin: Meek Mill denied permission to go to Toronto for Sixers playoff game

In a lengthy Instagram post Friday night, Philadelphia 76ers limited partner Michael Rubin said a judge denied Meek Mill permission to go to Toronto for the Sixers playoff game against the Raptors.

"Judge Genece Brinkley - I know you have a vendetta against Meek Mill and are obsessed with trying to control every aspect of his life, but did you really NOT approve him to go to rep the Sixers in Toronto for the game?" Rubin's post read.

Judge Brinkley has presided over many of Mill's past cases, including the 2017 probation violation case in which sentenced Mill to two to four years in prison.

Rubin was there in April of 2018 when Mill was released from prison. The two took a helicopter to the Sixers playoff game and Mill rang the bell at center court and sat court side.

Mill, who is under parole for 12 years, must ask the judge for permission to leave the state, according to Rubin.

"We filed with your court as soon as the schedule came out since you need to approve travel to Canada! Since you didn't respond to numerous phone calls we sent lawyers to your court room today which you purposely ignored," Rubin said.

The Sixers will kick off their series in Toronto Saturday night.
