New Jersey Students Honor Victims of 9/11

NEW JERSEY--(WTXF)-There was a stunning art installation at a New Jersey high school to honor the victims of the 9/11 attacks.

Nearly 3,000 flags are waving on the front lawn of Cedar Grove High School in Essex County. Each flag is outlined with the name of a person who lost their life in the attacks 14 years ago today.

Students say the tribute grew out of a desire to connect with an event they cannot remember, but had such a profound influence on the world they live in.

600,074 people from New Jersey died in September 11th attacks. The flags will continue to fly out the high school through September 23rd.
