No bail for 16-year-old accused of slaying 2 teens in South Philly

The teen police say is responsible for the shooting deaths of two 16-year-old boys in South Philadelphia will be held without bail, according to officials.

16-year-old Brandon Olivieri is accused of killing Sal DiNubile and Caleer Miller on Tuesday night near 12th and Ritner.

DiNubile and Miller were both shot in the chest and taken to Jefferson Hospital where they were pronounced dead a short time later.

A viewing and funeral was held on Saturday for DiNubile at the Epiphany of Our Lord Church in South Philadelphia.

Early Friday morning, Philadelphia Police confirmed that Olivieri's home was shot 14 times overnight while his family slept on the upper floors of the home. No one was injured in the shooting.

On Friday night, Olivieri surrendered to police, just hours after he was identified as a person of interest.

Police have not yet released a motive for the murders.
