Officials: Mechanical problems impact Monday evening commute on Trenton Line

Excessive heat and mechanical problems made for a rough Monday evening commute.

SEPTA says the Trenton Regional Rail Line had the delays due to switch issues, but transit troubles were much worse down by 30th Street Station where some commuters complained of sweltering conditions without AC when a train broke down.

According to SEPTA, a train was leaving 30th Street and broke down due to equipment issues. Another train was headed to help them but a passenger had a medical issue and had to be rushed to the North Philly Station.

No word on the condition of the passenger that had the medical issue.
