One Injured After School Bus Smashes Into School Bus

Two people injured after a school bus crashed into another school bus on Route 130 in Bordentown, NJ.

The crash happened 3:19pm on southbound Route 130 and Crosswicks Road.

A school bus by operated by Frederick Hannah, 42, was stopped in the left lane of southbound on Rt. 130 for the red traffic signal. Hannah had no passengers on his bus.

Another bus operated by Ludmilla Larsen, 68, was traveling southbound on Rt. 130 and collided with the rear of Hannah's bus causing major damage to the front end of her bus.

Larsen was entrapped as a result of the collision and had to be extricated by fire personnel. She suffered serious injuries and was transported by ambulance to Helene Fuld Hospital in Trenton, NJ for treatment.

A school bus aide, Cristiana Fernanez, 24, was also on Larsen's bus. She sustained minor injuries and was transported to RWJ Hospital in Hamilton, NJ for treatment.

Fredrick Hannah had no passengers on his bus.

Both buses are owned by Garden State Transport of Southampton, NJ and all involved subjects are employees of this company.

The collision remains under investigation by the Bordentown Township Police Traffic Safety Unit and anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact them at 609-298-4300, ext. 2134.
