Philly fire dept. honors first responders at 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb

The Philadelphia Fire Department hosted a special event at Lincoln Financial Field on Saturday to honor our fallen heroes.

The inaugural 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb and 5K honored the 343 emergency responders killed on September 11, 2001.

The victims were members of the fire department of New York, New York Police Department, Port Authority Police, and EMS.

Each participant paid tribute by climbing the equivalent of the 110 stories of the World Trade Center.

The money raised benefits the New York Fire Department's counseling unit, which supports the families of fallen firefighters.
