Police: 2 arrested after pursuit of stolen vehicle

PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - SkyFOX flew over a chaotic scene on Pattison Avenue near Oregon in South Philly Thursday evening.

It started around 4 p.m.in Chester Township. Police were trailing someone they say was driving a stolen car. The pursuit took them north on I-95 where investigators say the suspects hit a state trooper's car involved in the pursuit passing through Tinicum Township.

The driver continued into Philly where investigators say two suspects bailed from the highway onto Broad Street then to Pattison where they allegedly hit a police car before crashing along the train tracks.

Investigators say at that time a man and woman took off running from the car but were arrested by Pennsylvania State Police. One of the suspects was caught after allegedly running into a Pier 1 in the shopping center across the street.

FOX 29 cameras captured tow trucks hauling a damaged police car and another vehicle from the scene. We're told the officer in that car wasn't hurt and neither were the suspects.
