Police investigate double homicide in Kensington

Philadelphia police are investigating a double homicide on H and Thayer Streets in Kensington.

It happened around 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Police say a 22-year-old man was shot multiple times and died at the scene and a 37-year-old was also shot multiple times and died at Temple University Hospital.

Philadelphia Police Commissioner Ross says they are looking for two men who got out of what they believe to be a gold Chevrolet minivan. According to police, it appears the two gunman used a high powered rifle due to the number of rounds found at the scene.

Police say one of the victims may have been targeted. They are in the process of reviewing surveillance video in hopes of finding any information.
