Police: Man wounded in Center City shooting

Philadelphia police are investigating a shooting on the 1500 block of Chestnut Street in Center City.

It happened around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.

According to police, a 24-year-old man was shot once in the wrist. He was taken to Hahnemann Hospital where he is listed in stable condition. FOX 29 has been told the victim has not been cooperative with police so far.

Police say the man was shot near the Wendy's on 15th and Chestnut and ran to the area of the Apple store where he flagged down a police officer. It appears he may have been chased. A car was struck by gunfire, but no one was inside.

So far, no arrests have been made. Police are looking for surveillance video.
