Public celebration to be held for Ed Snider

PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) Comcast Spectacor, the Philadelphia Flyers and the Snider Family invite fans and friends to gather at the Wells Fargo Center on Thursday, April 21, to celebrate the life of Ed Snider.

Ed Snider was the father of the Philadelphia Flyers hockey club, family man, entrepreneur and philanthropist. Snider was a true visionary in the sports and entertainment industry, and a towering figure in the City of Philadelphia for more than 50 years.

The event begins promptly at 1 p.m. and is free and open to the public. Doors to the Wells Fargo Center will open at 11:30 a.m.
