SEPTA bus gets stuck in sinkhole in Center City

SKYFOX was over the scene after SEPTA bus became stuck in a small sinkhole in Center City late Friday morning.

The incident happened around 11:10 a.m. as the bus drove westbound on Lombard Street.

SEPTA says the Route 40 bus was driving between 16th and 17th Streets when it became stuck in the hole.

The hole opened up as the bus drove down the street and the left rear tire of the bus became stuck in the ground.

SEPTA says 15 passengers were on board at the time, but no one was injured. The passengers were then transferred to another bus and the bus was towed from the scene.
