Teen shot, killed during holiday cookout

GRAYS FERRY (WTXF/AP) - A holiday party ended with tragedy. Asir Brown, 16, was shot and killed in Grays Ferry.

It happened at about midnight on the 1800 block of S. 31st Street.

Police said a group of teens was barbecuing in the backyard when witnesses said they heard gunshots.

One of those bullets hit Brown in his back.

Police are not saying whether he was the intended target.
