Police: Puppy thrown out of 3rd story window in Trenton

Police say a puppy was thrown out of a third story window in Trenton, New Jersey. The puppy is recovering from surgery tonight.

You'd never know from the looks of it the rough start 4-month-old Khloe has had.

"She was thrown out of a third story window," Dr. Dave Puerto told FOX 29.

Dr. Dave Puerto has the X-ray to prove it. She had a broken right hind leg. According to police, the pit bull mix was thrown from a third floor window into the dilapidated building next door. Police say her 19-year-old owner allegedly did it in a fit of rage. The floors of the building collapsed into the basement. Firefighters had to break-in to rescue Khloe.

Dr. Puerto performed the surgery.

"I think in general, dogs will cry out when hey get injured right away, but then once that initial severe pain passes, they'll try to pretend like they're not hurt."

Neurology Tech Michelle Murphy cared for Khloe after she arrived and rescued her. It took a weekend for Murphy to raise the $1,500 for surgery and Ark Animal Hospital of Chalfont donated the surgery time.
