4 hurt when SEPTA cars crash at 69th St. Terminal

Four people were injured Tuesday morning when two SEPTA trains were involved in a crash at 69 th Street Transportation Center.

SKYFOX was over the scene of the railyard which was shut down just before 8:30 a.m. as a result of the crash.

SEPTA officials say a moving train slammed into the back of a stopped train and then derailed--hitting part of a third train going the other way. How fast it was going is unclear although the limit at the curve is 10 MPH.

A train operator is still listed in critical condition. The other injured train operator and the two injured passengers were treated and released.

Three NTSB investigators arrived at the scene Monday night. There will be full service for Tuesday morning commuters.
