There might be more Crisco on people's clothes than on the poles after last night - but hope springs eternal! #IThinkWereGonnaNeedABiggerTub— Philadelphia Police (@PhillyPolice) January 22, 2018
The same could be said of the folks behind Crisco, who were so impressed that they decided to do something special for Philadelphia police officers for keeping Eagles fans safe.
"We couldn't help but notice the city of Philadelphia is a big fan of Crisco," they said. "Heading into next week's game, Crisco is thanking the Philadelphia Police Department and other city workers for their efforts to keep fans safe... in sharing their tried-and-true way to please a crowd -- COOKIES!"
WHY, THANK YOU: Captain Lou says sugar cookies are way better than donuts! Duh! Bad stereotype. He thanks the good people at #Crisco for hand delivering the treats! @PPD01Dist (Officer Johnson, I’m watching you! 👀) pic.twitter.com/LIpGSMtmSl— Lauren Dawn Johnson (@LaurenDawnFox29) January 30, 2018
"We're inviting the city to indulge their taste buds in a thicker, light-texture sugar cookie made with Crisco All-Vegetable Shortening," the brand said.
The company calls it their "preferred way to keep fans on the ground."'
