Gabby Douglas announces new Barbie Shero doll ahead of Olympics

Gabby Douglas is on a roll.

On Sunday she was picked to represent the U.S. Olympic team in Rio this summer along with four other gymnasts.

Monday, she debuted her new Barbie Shero doll.

Douglas announced the news on Twitter Monday morning, writing: "Excited to debut my @Barbie Shero doll! Let's continue to break barriers & dream big, girls!"

Other women who have Barbie Shero dolls include Misty Copeland, Ava DuVernay, and Emmy Rossum, according to the Huffington Post.

Douglas included a photo of her and her new doll along with her tweet.

"I'm so excited," Douglas told People Magazine of her new doll. "My older sister and I used to play with Barbies and create these dramatic fantasy stories, so it's such a huge honor."

She also spoke to Mattel, saying that she is "speechless" at having her own doll.

"It's crazy," she said. "I never would've thought in a million years that I would be in this spot. Everyone sees me as a role model and it's just fantastic."
