Quiet on the set...

OLD CITY (WTXF) Did you hear that? Thursday night, during the FOX 29 10:00 p.m. newscast you may have thought your phone was ringing.

When you went to check it, you realized nobody had called.

Well, there is a reason for that, and it just so happens, WE are that reason. More specifically, what you had heard was the phone of one of our anchors, Dawn Timmeney.

But, don't be too quick to judge, we promise there was a good reason for it and that there is much more to the story.

Friday, the day after the incident, Dawn came to work with a note in hand. It was a note from the person on the other end of the line last night; her daughter Oona.

Oona had written a note to her mom's boss, apologizing for the ringing phone incident.

Oona wrote:

"Dear Mr. Driscoll,

I'm so sorry I called my mom during the news. I was just calling to say goodnight because I hadn't seen her all week.

Best regards, Oona"

In the end, Dawn's boss thought the note was the sweetest thing, and Dawn looks forward to silencing her phone in the future!
